Mr. Goenka graduated from Purdue University, USA with a Bachelor’s in Science with a specialisation in Industrial Management. Hailing from a business background and equipped with an entrepreneurial spirit, he chose to lend his business acumen to something noble.

Having experienced the education curriculum in India as a student, and closely observing the system thereafter, he saw the gaps that needed to be bridged for education to be more holistic in India.

Moreover, his exposure to the global landscape urged him to take a step to set up an institution that emphasizes the students’ ability to learn, holistically imbibe knowledge and apply the same in every walk of life. His vision has been to enable students to push the boundaries of possibility so that with their learning they can fulfill their intellectual and social potential in the future. With this focus, the Goenka Global Education has been set up and prides itself on a progressive educational approach to learning and teaching.

Fatema, veteran of 3 educational start-ups and with over 25 years of experience in the field of education, has been recognised by the Education World Awards 2020 as one of the Top 50 Educators in India to revive Indian education. Her pathbreaking work with teachers, parents and students, while setting up over 50 national and international schools pan India, makes her a household name, especially in Mumbai where she has been instrumental in driving change and bringing international mindedness to the world of teaching and learning. On the Advisory Board of several ed tech companies, Fatema is a champion for sports education and has been recognised for her innovative approaches, customised programmes and for mentoring families. A parenting coach & expert, she’s a storehouse of information when it comes to pedagogy, having been trained internationally, apart from her Masters In Business Administration from UK. Vice President of the Early Childhood Association, she is also the Mumbai Territory Head for the Association for Primary Education & Research, APER.

Anna Hart

Principal

Anna holds a Master of Education from the University of Oulu, Finland, specialising in intercultural competencies. For her graduation research, she visited educational organisations in 11 countries, gaining insight into diverse education systems through teaching placements in Kenya, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Anna’s educational experience spans multiple continents, including the UK, Qatar (Qatar Finland International School), and two IB World Schools in the UAE and Finland, in addition to India. Having been part of several IB authorisation and evaluation processes as both a teacher and a leader, she brings a deep understanding of IB programmes. Combined with her Finnish pedagogy expertise, this gives her a unique perspective within the Mumbai community.

A strong advocate for student-led inquiry, Anna mentors the team at FIS Race Course in integrating effective routines and classroom strategies that foster independent learning. Formerly the Academic Principal of an FIS transformation school in Thane, she was invited to lead FIS Race Course as Principal in 2024. A lifelong learner, she is passionate about blending the Finnish approach with the Indian context and ensuring that the school nurtures creative and critical thinking among students, teachers, and parents alike. At home, her three sons keep her on her toes, while her love for feline companions ensures there’s never a dull moment in the Hart household!
